The best Time to plant a tree was 20 years ago….
The second best time is now…
Let that sink in.
We are all guilty of thinking or saying:
“I Wish I started this when I was 20 ”.
“I should have started this 10 years ago”.
Sorry but we can’t go back in time, so you are wasting your time thinking about it.
The power of your thought process while you are reminiscing on missed opportunities is massive.
It’s time to strike
It’s time for action.
Now is your time, make the call and dive in.
Whether it’s Nutrition, Yoga, Gym, Meditation or whatever
We all could use a tune up here and there, granted some of us more than others.
The point here is that we all have the power to change our circumstances at any moment.
So what am I saying?
I’m saying that if you imagine all the missed opportunities over the last 5 – 10 years and how different your life and health could be then make some changes for the next 5 – 10 years.
Stop the bullshit of I’ll start next monday or next month or the new year.
Now obviously I own a health based establishment and i have vested interest in peoples health and their decisions.
I want to say this to clear the air
I don’t care where you do your thing, I just care that you are doing it.
So Think about your missed opportunities….
Imagine yourself in 10 years time having passed up on opportunities available now.
How’s it look?
Are you happy?
Are you in the health state you’d like to be?
So what will you do about it?
Watch more time slip away..
I want to leave you with something that constantly keeps me in check and grounded on my own pursuit for health and well being.
What you don’t make time for now will take time from you later.
On the simplest level
The niggling back pain, if you don’t seek help or start moving better eventually you are looking at bed rest until its better.
We always use time as our excuse, like we have none..
We just don’t prioritise the right things
What are are options here?
Look into these 5 points in your own life, find the ones that you need to start prioritising and start from there.
- Physical Practise
We all need help in the above areas.
So get some!
Start the journey and start looking after this vessel you’ve been gifted.
Here’s my favourite things that keep me feeling in good rhythm for my own health and wellness.
- Physical training (90-180 min daily)
- Mindfulness (10-20 min daily) Reading, breath, meditation or a bath
- Nutrition ( I eat to fuel my body I don’t religiously stick to any way of eating)
- Recovery (2 x acupuncture sessions, 1 x massage, Sleep… We have a 5 month old so its rough not having consistent sleep but I get as much as possible)
- Relationships (Making time for mama and bubba have become priority 1) Everything else can wait. I also find it important to make time for my mates and have fun outside of my lil Fam, Once or twice a month of some down time with my nearest and dearest.
I haven’t mentioned work anywhere in here because you already take time to do it, this is so we look at the free time around work or the quality of time we have outside of work better and more efficiently.
I hope this has been a good read and you take something out of it!
Just me sharing some more thoughts and concepts.
