What doesn’t challenge you won’t change you

Strap in.

You may or may not like what you are about to read.

I’m a relative newbie in the fitness and wellness industry although I have enjoyed Playing sport, doing outdoor recreational activities and keeping quite active for as long as i can remember.

I have met 3 people in my life that i beleive are truly natural athletes and dont need to put in any work to achieve their physical fitness, skill level or strength.

That’s pretty bad news for the majority of us.

Short cuts are so much more attractive than the long way!

Enter Ad campaigns that feed you crappy supplements, or exercise equipment that will change your life and body in 6 weeks…

You guys don’t actually believe it do you??

Any person that has made a success of themselves, whether its professionally, athletically or spiritually (The spiritual chap would not claim success though would he) will tell you that it didn’t happen overnight, nor 6 weeks and not even a year.

Why do you think you are any different?

I believe that every person at every age is capable of changing their:

  • Lifestyle
  • Diet
  • Physical body
  • Attitude
  • Spiritual connection

I also believe if honestly asked that most of you reading would be interested in finding out how you can change those things mentioned above..

I do not believe though that many of you would take action in making those changes.

Why you ask??

Because they all take time to do. They don’t happen quickly.

It’s simply too easy to play victim. It’s to easy to buy into the Limitless drug and want everything now.

Who among you would want to set out a 1 to 5 year plan to better themselves if some moron on the facebook says you can do it in days or weeks?

Not very many.

So here lies our problem, we have people wanting to make these changes to better themselves but we have no one wanting to actually make a change.

No one is willing to step outside of the comfortable little bubble which they have made.

The excuses come pouring in around this time of the conversation:

“That didn’t work for me”

“I’ve tried that”

Bla bla bla the list goes on.

Guess what!

If you are not willing to put in time to work on yourself, to try new things, to find a way that does work for you then you are never going to step out of that bubble, you are never going to change your quality of life and you will be stuck giving your opinion on the couch or at the pub with the like minded people that couldn’t be stuffed to make a change either.

Tis the season to get off your ass and stop making excuses!

Peace and Love tI everyone

Glad i got that off my chest
